In the early 2000s it was clear San Francisco’s SOMA was changing. A group of visionary architects and hospitality experts conceived the SOMAGrand as one of the first residential landmarks in the area to compliment the opening of the eagerly anticipated Federal Building, now located next door. The project was conceived as a bridge between a boutique hotel and residential condo building.
